GATEWAYS TO NEWARK

Led by the Newark Downtown District, in partnership with key stakeholders, GATEWAYS TO NEWARK aims to beautify each of the city’s entryways via public art and landscape improvements.

{PORTRAITS} Mural

{PORTRAITS} mural is the first entryway of the GATEWAYS TO NEWARK initiative. The 1.4 mile mural located at McCarter Highway (Rt. 21) in Newark – traveled by 1+ million vehicles monthly – is the longest mural in the United States, and features works by 18 local and international artists.
